Ikedinachukwu Nwankwor, known simply as Dr. Ike to friends and colleagues, is a native of Nigeria. He lived the first thirty years of his life there being nurtured by family and the Nigerian culture. Currently, he resides in Manitoba, Canada.
Dr. Ike acquired his primary medical degree from the University of Nigeria. After graduating, in 2006, he moved to Ireland to complete his post-graduate training in Psychiatry. At this time, he was awarded dual citizenship between Ireland and Nigeria. Dr. Ike stayed in Ireland after graduating to gain experience in psychiatry.
Ikedinachukwu Nwankwor decided to move to Canada after some time in Ireland. After completing the required exams that made his relocation possible, he became affiliated with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Currently, Dr. Ike is working as a staff psychiatrist with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. He is also an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry with the University of Manitoba. In his spare time, Dr. Ike enjoys writing blogs about his career and hobbies.
